OMG, I am loving all things Christmas right now! The lights, the cheesy movies, the cookies and the music!

This past weekend my husband and I went to the annual Holiday on Cape Symphony Concert and it had me grinning from ear to ear! It’s so fun that we’re creating these traditions together, as this was our second time attending.

It’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit, and I noticed 2 things that gave me so much joy that I wanted to share with you.

One of my first posts ever was about the amazing magical healing properties of lemons.

Hot water with lemon has been a part of my life for the past 8 years now, and I honestly don’t think I’ve missed more than 3 days without it.

It is a daily reset, a cleansing act that creates optimum digestion and gut health.

Part of my morning ritual entails waking up, tongue scraping, brushing my teeth, neti pot nasal rinse and then hot water with lemon before breakfast - until now.

My favorite cities that I had visited up until this past February were London and Barcelona, until I went to Lisbon.

Lisbon is the most beautiful, clean, friendly city I have experienced! The hills, the palm trees, the architecture, the cobble stone streets, electric railway systems, castles, old world culture, Fado music, bread, cheese, wine, gingha - oh my, the list could go on, are just some of the things I marveled at.

Happy Summer Solstice upon us! It's so nice to finally be seeing life again here on Cape Cod. As with the Vata (winter) to Kapha (spring) seasons of Ayurveda, where we naturally moved from heavy, heartier foods to lighter, more astringent foods to help us detox from the weight of winter, we now move from Kapha to Pitta (summer) season.

It's one thing to take a 2 or 3 week vacation, but it's another when you're setting up your new home in a different world for a full month! It takes awhile to de-program your natural ways of being, and soften into the sweet spot of feeling fully recharged.

I'm so excited to report that my hair has actually been looking good this time around in the Azores!

In the past few visits, my hair looked like it did when I was at my worst in 8th grade! Ahh!! Talk about a frizz halo! It was so discouraging.

The winter here in the Azores is their rainy season, and so being here my hair is basically in a constant state of that 'misty shower air' that I am always so careful to cover up with a shower cap in!

So, you can guess my cringe factor knowing I don't have control over my hair here - until now!
