Evolve: Finding a HOME in BOSTON!!!

Charles River, BostonI cannot even begin to express just how much this move to Boston feels SO right! I feel like this is exactly what I’ve been searching for all along! Everything fell into place so smoothly ~ the job, the apartment, the time of year, you name it! That’s when you know you’re in the flow, right?! Beacon Hill

So here I am, settling into my bright and happy studio apartment in the BEST neighborhood of Beacon Hill! My walk to work through the Boston Public Gardens to my new Newbury Street salon location cannot be beat! I am in complete awe of the support of the universe and feel oh-so-blessed!

Boston Public Gardens

It’s amazing what having your own place can do for your psyche! To think I’ve gone almost two years living out of bedrooms and boxes! What I have learned during this process though, is to live SIMPLY! Some people like things! I like experiences!

Do you believe all the 'junk' you can accumulate over the course of a lifetime?! Since I’ve been living on my own (14 years now--ahh!), I haven’t stayed put in one place for more than 2 years! (If you haven't been caught up to speed on my 'Moving Madness', you can read here and here). How crazy is that, first of all?! But even so, I’m always baffled by the amount of things that pile up in corners and closets! Needless to say, moving keeps me purging as I go, and I think it’s safe to say, I’ve wittled away to the bare minimum! My friend in L.A. sent me a hilarious photo of a homeless man in Santa Monica with the caption, “he has more stuff than you”! Haha (but sad)!!

But really, how grounding is it to settle in somewhere!? That’s my intention for now!

Another thing I've realized while moving, is what I prioritize taking with me! Honestly, the majority of my items consist of books (self improvement), notes (from classes and workshops) and cooking supplies. Moving tells the story of your life and what you value. What are your prized possessions?

I can confidently say now, that Boston feels like home! I haven’t been able to say that in the past! It’s so liberating! Wahe Guru!!

So here I am, writing to you from the new chapter in my life!

I hope to see/meet you soon!
