Evolve: Feed your Soul

Oak Bluffs, MVIt's amazing what a little day trip can do for the soul. One of my all time favorite things to do is explore a town or a city and find healthy, alternative, funky veg friendly spots, pop into some shops, take a nice walk or a bike ride and soak in the beauty of creation that surrounds me. This is exactly what I did in Vineyard Haven, Martha's Vineyard, MA while my new bf :) made me feel like I was Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman as he went off to work and brought me along to play for the day! Swoon!

First on the agenda for my source of fun: FOOD! Oh my amazingness at Blissed Out! I'm telling you ~like attracts like, and it pops up all around me now!

Blissed Out, Vineyard Haven, MVI rounded the corner and poof ~ Blissed Out appeared! It's the only healthy vegan cafe of its kind on the whole island, and it just happened to be less than a block from our hotel!

The owner and I bonded over the excitement of fresh off the dehydrator raw vegan macaroons and curly hair talk! You never know who you're supposed to meet ~ just as she was a treat to me, I was a little treat to her with my curly hair expertise:)! Wahe Guru!

Blissed Out, Martha's Vineyard

Blissed Out, Martha's VineyardAfter my basking in bliss moment of enjoying these little food delights outside on the bench in the warm sun, I wandered into an art gallery and found myself enchanted by an array of greeting cards.

Ingrid Goff-MaidoffAs I was taking pictures of these inspiring quotes, I was drawn to a unique poem just as the woman who created it approached me. Our eyes locked and it was as if I was instantly taken to another life that we must have shared together ~ it was so obvious that we had known each other somewhere! It was such an awesome experience! We both agreed we had a soul connection. I thanked her for her bright light in my life that day and felt so blessed to be able to really experience the love that surrounds us always.

Ingrid Goff-MaidoffA simple smile or a thank you can instantly brighten a persons day and life. I am so grateful for her. She is such a gift to the world with her creative spirit expressing her talent through her art form. It filled me with so much gratitude for the Creator and for all of our unique gifts and talents that make this world go round.

Emily DickinsonMy inspiration continued to bubble over even more as I stumbled into more art galleries and enjoyed the beauty of the artists' perceptions, their talents and their gifts. I became overwhelmed with inspiration in art, in creation, in life, in love, in joy and in pleasure. It made me realize that all we have to do is look around, and open our eyes. Beauty is everywhere, from the food I ate that day, to the art work, the written quotes and poems, my bike ride in nature, and my time spent with my newfound bf.

My heart was fluttering with inspiration and motivation to keep writing and blogging, to keep aligning with my gifts and talents, and to feel at peace knowing that we all have a unique set of gifts and talents that expresses the light within us, which contributes to the collective beauty in this life that surrounds us.

We are all ONE and we are all LOVE. What we experience is what we are putting out there. Everything is a mirror that only multiplies as we keep attracting more of the same, raising our vibration one person at a time through an attitude of gratitude, a jolt of inspiration and a smile of joy.

So keep on shining!

Do you know where you're going?

I landed back on my home turf last night from a beautifully fulfilling experience of traveling in europe. I like to believe that the life we are gifted is meant to be lived as if we were on vacation all the time. Some may argue that life is like a classroom, full of lessons. Either way you choose to interpret it, it's a grand gesture of abundance--navigate as you will. For me, I perceive the concept of free will as if I were plopped on a stranded island and told to find pleasure in my life as I see fit. We are given endless choices, and ultimately become the sum of all our experiences.

The gift of travel allows one to see the countless ways we are all interconnected, with multiple elements surrounding us at all times.

Everything inevitably comes back to the heart center--the source of all that is good; that is love.

We cannot know where we're going unless we know we're we've been. Our lineage and our surroundings shape us into who we are today. We have absorbed energies and are reflecting them back out into our world, moment to moment, day to day.

But have you ever stopped to think how you've connected the dots and built your foundation? Who are you and what do you have to offer?

Our ultimate purpose is to lift the veil, to expose our truth, to become one with the creative energies surrounding us, raising our consciousness, and collectively uniting as ONE.

To find out what our truth is, is essential.

Traveling offers the inspiration to experience others' inspiration--what fueled their fire, and motivated them to change the world? Inspiration is in anything, from style, to food, to cultures, to communities, to structure and design, to businesses. This being the art of expressing a vision; a means to leaving behind your legacy and ultimately changing the world by using our unique gifts and talents.

The opportunity to serve is our soul's purpose; our life's work.

To be able to serve, we must first know our truth, and then stay aligned to it, knowing that if we do, we will fill ourselves up with fulfillment, and not allow anything that does not serve us, to diminish our spark.

So, i ask you, what aligns with you?

Your truth is the very essence of you and therefore, your highest self. If you stay aligned with your truth, you will be the best version of yourself--your highest and best self.

For me, it has taken some serious work to dig up the garbage that clouded my perception of my inner truth. My life had just been 'happening' to me up until about age 29. Til then, I had been fumbling around in the dark, feeling my way through life. Today, I am 31 and all the lights in the house are on. I can see exactly where i've been and now know exactly where I want to go. It's the most liberating feeling in the world, and available to us all, as our birthright!

We all have our own path, some getting there quicker than others, but it ultimately takes effort to really go deep and become inquisitive about how you've arrived where you are. Take inventory and become honest with yourself. Quiet that mind and let what inspires you rise up, and trust that subtle push.

Where do you find happiness? What subjects interest you? What gets you excited? How do you like to spend your day?

Answer these questions, and go with that...just follow it. You don't have to know where it's headed. your heart knows the best way, I promise. I would never have guessed that I am now the person I would become a few years ago. It's sad to think I never let my soul emerge. I was too busy doing what I thought I 'should' be doing.

It helps me to document everything. I literally write down anything that I like, or anything that I don't like. It keeps me anchored in who I am. I literally stay in the light--I channel it. I hone it in. I surround myself with everything that I love as often as I can, and I now can find an appreciation for the opportunity to grow, when I find myself in a situation that I don't align with.

Traveling takes you out of your comfort zone. It offers new challenges of your level of flexibility--how you stay in the flow. Our anchor is our heart, our inner compass, our balance point--unique to each of us. We will ebb and flow, trying a little of this, or a little of that. This is life--the gift of abundance.

To know thyself, all the good, the bad, and the ugly is your foundation, your home--a place you can always retreat to and feel loved, supported and nourished unconditionally. Once that is cultivated, you can see yourself connected to the endless stream of all the moments in your life, and how significant you are in the grand picture.

Dr. Levry states that, ''Simplicity is divinity. Divinity is simplicity''.

Just "Do what you love and love what you do".

That is all folks. Just channel it and choose the life you want to live, but first chip away at what has shaped you.

The quality time I spent with my cousin, allowed me to piece together the puzzle even more so, and gave me a greater appreciation for the sum of all my parts. It has inspired me to stay connected with my loved ones and keep my foundation strong. I plan to write a note to them all to keep the energy alive. I hope this can inspire you to 'water the grass in your backyard' too.

Here's an exercise to help you think of who you are and what that means to you.:

Take a piece of paper and make two columns. one side labeled, 'I AM', the other side "What this means to me". make your list. it's a beautiful unveiling of your truth. Enjoy.

Remember to bask in all your experiences and honor yourself. After all, you are the only home you have--treat it with kindness, gentleness, grace and dignity. You are a beautiful vessel of light, just waiting to shine as bright as possible!

Go out into the world and give back for all that you've received. Stay connected in the endless circle of life and love.

In health and happiness,

Kate

How to create the life of your dreams!

i'm sure many of you watched the oscar's like i did last week, and were in complete awe of their talent! the inspirational seed that birth's the creative expression in all aspects of the entertainment industry is truly amazing. inspiration is your heart singing.

it's the creative spark that lies within each and every one of us. what is it that you find yourself constantly thinking about, or drawn to? it could be anything. it's your passion and your interest that's unique to only you.

the only difference that separates a celeb from a non-celeb, is that they followed their spark. often times, you'll hear their stories of living pay check to pay check and getting rejected over and over again, but their passion kept pulling them, and they let it guide them.

our hearts should be leading the way, not our heads.

yes, our intellect is very important too, but the heart should pave the way, and our mind should asses as we go. please don't underestimate your own intuition. when we're in tune with our heart, when we listen, and become more conscious and less reactive, we won't be steered wrongly--i promise.

don't you find it fascinating how we can connect the dots in our lives, noticing how something you experienced a long time ago, is serving you today, in a way you would never have guessed it to?

this is your creation unfolding.

you're designing your life each and every day, gently being tugged in different directions as your heart desires. usually at the time, it doesn't make any sense, but you were drawn to that person, that thing, that adventure because the little voice inside you told you to go for it.

to live a fulfilled life, our source of inspiration must be completely activated! we are the author of our own story. every word that's spoken is written, and is a result of our thoughts (often subconscious). once it's written, it's put into action for manifestation. we can choose the life that serves us best.

just start.

it's really that simple, just start to let your heart lead the way, and guide you to do the things that bring you joy and inspiration. stop telling yourself that you'll be happy when you 'finally have that dream home, or that dream job, or that dreamy love'. everything is at your fingertips right now--just access it!

make a list of what brings you joy.

for me, i love healthy food, daily walks, exploring, reading, researching, organizing, massages, music, yoga etc. if you start prioritizing doing at least one of the things that bring you joy each day, before your responsibilities, your life will change, and you will become happy, peaceful and fulfilled--finally.

i'm sure many of you are rolling your eyes now, saying, 'yea kate, in a dream world i wouldn't have to work, etc. etc. etc...'

this is your lack of faith in the abundance you're entitled to.

when you start filling yourself up first, you will feel the unconditional love and support from the universe, and you will align yourself with the ebb and flow of the constant giving and receiving, effortlessly flowing, creative outpouring, that is YOU.

you're only depleting yourself when you operate from a place of 'i have to, i can't, it's not that easy, etc...' because you're not letting the essence of your unique self shine through!

when you fill yourself up with love for yourself, you naturally give love everywhere you go, so don't for a second think you're being selfish!

just start--today. do one thing that inspires you. you won't want to go another day not doing it. who knows, your little love for doodling, could turn into a masterpiece of art someday! just look at all that came before us, and how their little 'vision, their call to create' has left behind a legacy. your gifts are to be shared with the world! that is your soul's purpose.

if you don't know what makes you happy, you need to meditate! go within.

find your soul's purpose with this meditation/mantra:

wahe guru wahe jio. chanted for 11 minutes with hands interlaced in front of the solar plexus, eyes closed and focused at the third eye. change for the next 11 minutes, bringing your hands up to your heart center while hands are still interlaced, but extend the pointer fingers up.

download the cd, and find the mantra on track 3: http://www.rootlight.com/music-pure-naam.htm

if you know what pulls you, let it already!

trust the process and LET GO!

the more you control, the longer it's going to take for you to get what you want out of life. i'm not telling you to be irresponsible, i'm just suggesting that you ignite that creative expression of who you are each and every day.

be the person you want to be, live the life you want to live, NOW.

trust yourself.

in health and happiness,

kate
